3. Are you a non-profit company?

The short answer: no, we are not a non-profit organization.

The context: While it may seem like non-profits and religious institutions go hand in hand, Look On High believes its business model is better suited as a for-profit endeavor. Sure, there are certain benefits a non-profit offers. And yes, the perception is that a non-profit company is less greedy, more cause-driven, and charitable. But all of these details can be attributed to a wholesome and well-managed for-profit business as well.

On top of that, for-profit businesses are held to less regulations, meaning Look On High can focus on not only creating artistic and fashionable apparel, accessories, and home goods, we can do so without any restrictions other than what the free market dictates. We do not want to hinder our designers and their artistic process or its journey from a vision to a tangible product readily available for our customers.

With all that said, as a for-profit company, Look On High:

• Provides freedom for our staff to do their duties
• Is not tied to certain government regulations
• Does not need to comply with outside influences such as governments, charities, or other influential organizations other than God, Himself
• Is free to donate as much or as little of its profits to any organization or individual it sees fit, and is able to do so in secret, as Jesus instructed us to do (...when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. -Mat. 6:1-4)
• Will not openly ask for donations, especially as a means of capital to run its business, and if we are given donations, 100% of it will be used to help those that we deem need it most (i.e., not us)
• Tries its best to do business as God sees fit, from running a for-profit model to using those profits in an ethical, moral, and common sense manner all guided by prayer and the Holy Spirit

4. Do you donate to any charities?

The short answer: none in particular

The context: We definitely donate to our local church weekly. We also support many different churches and organizations with whom we believe adhere to the Bible as the Word of God. We carefully research everywhere we intend on donating to and never do so without long consideration and prayer.

We have found, unfortunately, that many organizations fail our expectations for being a good, moral, ethical, well-managed, or even well-intended charitable company with which to donate. We try to keep things local and small, as these types of organizations are best at making sure their practices and accounting benefit those in need the most.

So, in summary, you can rest assured that at Look On High, we have our community's best interests in our hearts and minds, and while most of our donations may only help our local areas, we do our best to ensure we are doing God's work by giving as well as receiving.

5. Do you ship outside of the USA?

Yes! We are partnered with vendors around the world. Shop at Look On High whether you are lying on the sands of the Australian Gold Coast or sipping a Guinness in a pub in Ireland (responsibly, of course). Just be aware that local shipping and duty taxes apply as well as various production and shipping timelines.
